Chelmer is a leading New Zealand wealth technology company, providing specialist software solutions to the financial services industry across Asia Pacific. Their mission is to make investing and wealth creation simple for their clients, and thereby more accessible to the wider community. Chelmer already had a strong position in the New Zealand market when we started working with them. The team had decades of industry experience, there was equity in their current brand, and their custom-configurable software suite offered exceptional value.
Through developing long-term client relationships and word-of-mouth, they’d gotten by without a marketing strategy or plan for 30 years!
However, with a three-decade old brand and ambitious growth plans, a refresh was due. They needed to build trust and credibility to gain new business and strengthen relationships with existing clients (New Zealand’s top wealth management companies). When an opportunity to present at the 2018 Trust Officers Association Philippines (TOAP) Summit in Manila arose, Chelmer had to put their best foot forward, fast!
Starting with a workshop to understand their business and objectives, we developed a marketing strategy and plan with prioritised activity. This included an audit, target audience and buyer journey analysis, brand positioning and key messaging. We helped to articulate their purpose, mission and vision – demonstrating their core desire to make a positive impact in the world.

From there, we allocated a best-fit marketer, with specialist experience in B2B engineering and technology to implement the plan and work with Chelmer on an ongoing basis.
Continuing to build a strong marketing foundation, we developed content: team LinkedIn profiles, blogs, thought-leadership and case studies, collateral for presentations and proposals, and internal document templates. This included selecting a fit-for-purpose online platform that enabled the sales team to create digital proposals.
Positioned as a pre-eminent technology partner to the wealth management industry, Chelmer now have a modern, credible, world-class identity to match, and are equipped with a marketing strategy, tools and resources to grow their business.
